Hunting

Hunting is a traditional practice in the region.

The Vaud section of the Diana explains how it is practised on its website.

And to test your eye: can you match each animal to its silhouette?

Hunting in Vaud, a tradition to keep alive!

The Fédération des Sections Vaudoises de la Diana (FSVD) brings together the hunting societies of the canton of Vaud. It represents and supports its local sections while promoting hunting that is responsible, sustainable and respectful of wildlife and ecosystems. The FSVD defends hunters' interests with the authorities, encourages continuing education and cultivates a spirit of camaraderie among its members. Faithful to tradition yet firmly turned towards the future, it plays a key role in managing hunting in the canton and in maintaining the link between people, nature and the land of Vaud.
