The Dahlia Festival

In 1996, a florist from Morges came up with the idea of a dahlia display along the lakefront. Thirty years on, there are more than 1,200 of them. Follow them all the way to the Blancherie.

From July to the end of October, the lakefront in Morges fills with dahlias. At each hiding spot, you find out where these flowers come from, who plants them and why they last until the first frost. Between two flower beds, a few games to test your eye. 2026 marks the 30th edition.

The rules

The trail runs along the quays, where the dahlias flower from July to the end of October. At each stop, a game is waiting: get the right answer first time to score the most points. You can try again, but it's worth less.

The points of interest marked on the map score nothing: they round out the walk. Walk past, or don't.

Finish the trail to earn your badge. And take the time to look at the flowers up close, no two are alike.
