About Cache-Cache
What is Cache-Cache?
The project in a nutshell.
Cache-Cache is a web app of interactive trails in French-speaking Switzerland. Players pick a trail, head outside, find geolocated hideouts and collect points and badges.
Four formats are available: walk, 360° walk, adventure (with mini-games), treasure hunt (like Barbet le Farfadet). Cache-Cache is free. Some treasure hunts are paid, but a reward awaits at the end. And finally: nothing to install — it runs in any browser.
Where does it come from?
For years, several tourism offices in Vaud used the Be-Mobile platform to offer walks to their visitors. It worked, but the technology was aging, the design no longer kept up, and when the technical provider shut down, everything was at risk of disappearing.
So we asked ourselves: patch it up, or start fresh on solid ground? The answer was clear. Cache-Cache is that fresh start: rethought design, new hideouts, a model built to last. Most of the existing Be-Mobile walks are included here. The rest, we're building with you.
Who is it for?
For families looking for an outing without hearing "are we there yet?" every five minutes. For curious souls who know their region by heart but have never looked up at that little gem hidden around the corner. For passing tourists who'd rather have a story than an audio guide. And for everyone who walks, cycles or wanders through town on a Saturday afternoon.
Cache-Cache works in French, German, English and Italian.
The team behind the project
Cache-Cache is imagined, designed and developed by Mayko, the troisdeuxun agency and Simoïs. The trails are built with tourism offices, municipalities, nature parks and cultural partners: Morges Région Tourisme, Nyon Région Tourisme, the Parc Jura vaudois and many more to come.
